Kristin Armstrong

Author & Journalist

"At a time when society gives all kinds of wrong images about what it means to be a woman, I want to counteract the counterfeit by putting another message out there. I want to investigate what God has to say about what it means to be a woman." ~Kristin Armstrong, from Work in Progress

Kristin Armstrong : Writer, runner, and divorced mom loving (almost) every minute of it. From the wreck that her life was in 2003, amidst a painful divorce from world-famous athlete Lance Armstrong, a more resilient, graceful life has emerged -- one that she cherishes despite the grueling refining process of figuring out the woman God means for her to become. Armstrong draws from her journals, her experiences, and life lessons from close friends along with her deep meditations on Scripture and discussion questions to deliver a study in what it means to be a woman of grace.

"I had a serious interior renovation project to undertake with no luxury of temporarily moving into a rental," writes Armstrong of her journey with God and the necessity of sharing it with others. "It was precisely in the messy debris of that work that God ordained a major life lesson on the subject of confidence."

Kristin Armstrong was married to cyclist Lance Armstrong for five years, raising their three children while living in France and Spain. She is the author of a children's book, Lance Armstrong: The Race of His Life, and a contributing editor for Runner's World magazine. Kristin is passionate about her Christian faith, her family, her friends, and her career. She speaks French and Spanish, is a marathon runner, and enjoys cooking, reading, painting, and travel. Kristin now lives in Austin, Texas with her son Luke and twin daughters Grace and Isabelle.

At the podium, Armstrong describes what being a "work in progress" really means, and how it can liberate you; and how her faith has guided her through this difficult period in your life.
