Chris Colfer is a #1 New York Times bestselling author and Golden Globe-winning actor. Chris first came to fame in 2009 with the premiere of the hit musical television series Glee. Critics praised his performance on the show portraying gay teen Kurt Hummel, with Rolling Stone calling him the "heart and soul" of the series; It won him a Golden Globe in 2011 and an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy.

Colfer is openly gay and has participated in several campaigns against bullying, drawing from his experience in school, where he was frequently picked on.

In addition to his work on Glee, Colfer has worked on a number of other projects. His novel, Struck By Lightning, has been turned into a feature film, for which he wrote the screenplay. Colfer stars in the film. He is also working on a new television series for the Disney Channel based on the book The Little Leftover Witch.
