Two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Adam Haslett is the author of three national bestselling works of fiction: the short story collection You Are Not a Stranger Here, a Pulitzer and National Book Award finalist, the novel Union Atlantic, winner of the Lambda Literary Award, and the novel Imagine Me Gone, a 2017 Pulitzer and National Book Critics Circle Award Finalist, and winner of the Los Angeles Times Book Prize.

His journalism and cultural commentary have appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vogue, Esquire, The Financial Times, The Guardian, and The Nation among others. He has received a Guggenheim Fellowship, the Berlin Prize from the American Academy in Berlin, the PEN/Malamud Award, and the Strauss Living Award from the American Academy of Arts & Letters.

He has spoken at colleges, universities, and lecture series across the United States and Europe, including at Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, and given presentations to psychiatrists and health professionals on the subject of mental health, which is a major theme of his writing. His books have been translated into twenty languages and adopted for curriculum in both colleges and medical schools. He lives in New York City.
